Cop profiling never ends...

Oy. The Rand Corp. was contracted by the city of Cincinnati to assemble police reports and study them for evidence of racial profiling. The report has now been released. It is RIFE with opportunity for misinterpretation. Great.

That is really sad, honestly. What will this mean for Cincinnati, do you think?

By the way, this is my first comment, but I have been reading for awhile. I am in Milford, and I love reading blogs by others from the area. It is really nice to come here and read, and I wish more people were willing to see the other side of 'cop stuff'. Thanks so much!

Hi Jill! How fun to have local readers.
As far as this report goes: I imagine it will be pored over by city council, who is bound to misinterpret it and make recommendations to CPD in order to satisfy John Q Public's appetite to see cops hang. I did like that Rand Corp. emphasized that there are multiple things that can be read out of it. Unfortunately the report allows that anybody can do anything with statistics. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'd read it, but it would just depress me.

How about the police chief hold a press conference and say;

"Okay! Okay! We're gonna search every white person we see! Will that make you happy?"
